“Entering our top 100 at #5 this week is 'Sugar' from Andrew Caryl and Robbie Rosen. The vocals are crystal clear and the electric pop melody is like a cherry soda. This single is Summer worthy and hopefully will be charting sooner than that. I have this one on repeat.” - Jacqueline Jax
Bio & Latest Release
Hi, I'm Andrew Caryl.
I am a musician, songwriter and music producer. My first single "Hold On (feat. Enlia)" was released in the fall of 2020. Since then, my songs have been streamed in more than 150 countries and added to thousands of playlists by hundreds of thousands of listeners on streaming platforms and have been heard millions of times in TikTok and Instragram videos.
My music reflects decades of influence from new wave artists like Howard Jones and Duran Duran to glam rockers T-Rex to modern pop artists like Lady Gaga, Shawn Mendes, Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran.
I love to work with other artists and producers and have had label releases in collaboration with artists from all over the world including American Idol finalist Robbie Rosen, Venezuelan Future House prodigy Sam Ourt, Hungarian violinist and producer Zita, French vocalist Enlia and L.A. based Ana Roze to name a few.
I am currently working on new material with co-writer and vocalist okafuwa, continued collaborations with Robbie Rosen, and on new collaborations with Louisiana based writer and vocalist Richard Guidry.
Label affiliations include High Five Records, Loudkult, 7Clouds, ATLAST/Miami Beats, Magic Records, 2Dutch/TMG, and D.C. Vinyl.
Latest Release: Farewell Love
This one released 1 year to the day of my mothers passing. We were in the middle of writing/recording it at the time. Hence, the song has a meaning for me that is very emotional and sad and taxing and stressful. The version I hear in my head is not the same story that Steve wrote. But everyone has their own story. It's the kind of universal song that everyone can relate to in different ways. For me, I will forever think of her when I hear it. This one is dedicated to Carol Mercer. We will finally be laying her ashes to rest in Colorado on the weekend the song is released (7/29). She loved it there. God's country.
“Picture leaves an imprint on your mind. Zita’s impressive, soothing violin playing at the beginning gives the track an epic soundtrack feel. Rosen’s honest and moving vocals, along with his and Caryl’s writing, pull at your heartstrings...” - Michelle Vaccaro

"“Enough” not only impresses with its lyricism, but it’s musical composure as well. "The End has quite a mainstream pop sound from the start, but it differs from a lot of the music currently in the charts, having a dark edge to it. The little guitar line that runs throughout the song provides a backbone to the music, increasing the tension and atmosphere. It’s also incredibly catchy, especially on the chorus!"
~Jane Hawkins, York Calling
"... the bass engulfs us until we ultimately feel the drop, and we are then fulfilled and in the hands of the artists entirely. We think this is a great example of collaboration from the producer and vocalists work."
